2024 Summit Itinerary

Every aspect of the itinerary was crafted with care and grounded in science to bring you a transformative experience.

Please keep checking back as we put the finishing touches on the itinerary.

Attire

We want you to feel comfortable being you!

 

We would LOVE it if you wore purple for the Hey Girl Hey Reception on Friday.

For Saturday, we are recommending casual attire! This may include jeans, leggings, or an athleisure ensemble. Please note, there will be some physical wellness sessions and a low impact fitness exhibition.

 

You will have an opportunity to change ahead of time, if needed.

RELEASE: Friday, March 01

5PM - 8PM

Exhale Summit Check-In (Hotel Lobby / Rotunda)

Check in with the Summit Concierge team for your Exhale Summit essentials so you can gear up for what’s to come!

6PM - 10PM

“Hey Girl Hey” Welcome Reception sponsored by the City of Newport News and 100.5 TheVibe (Rotunda)

 

Settle in and meet other women for a cocktail reception to kick off the healing weekend with some dinner and dancing. There will also be a book giveaway and signing by Dr. Mariel! The evening will be co hosted by Kristin Parker Beatty (Exhale Summit Marketing & Communications Director) and Stephanie Walters (Director of Communications & Engagement, Yellow)

Summit Check-In + Breakfast + Vendor Marketplace

Attendees can check-in, eat a hot breakfast and visit with some amazing local vendors.

Kick off + Connection Moments

Building community is a cornerstone of the Exhale Summit and we want to ensure that you have intentional time early in the day by participating in our Connection Moments. 

9:45AM - 12:30PM

Transformative Breakout Sessions:

Each sessions is 45 minutes and there are 15 minutes in between each session. Attendees will be able to attend 3 sessions.

Sessions will begin at 9:45am, 10:45am, and 11:45am.  

Loving the Skin You're In: With an emphasis on emotional intimacy and sensuality, Sex Therapist, Rachel Smith will help us understand how to connect with our bodies.  Together, we will learn how to recognize when our thoughts and emotions influence our life experiences, and ways in which our bodies respond accordingly.  Rachel will help us explore how our sensuality and self-awareness can transform the way we show up as women.  

 

Healing through Language: Clinical Psychology meets Speech Language Pathology as Speech Language Pathologist, Dr. Linia Willis and Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Marlana Webster join forces to help us take charge over our thoughts and our words.  These powerhouses will address the linguistic, psychological and physiological impact of self-talk as women.  Together, they will give us a double portion of how to be more gentle in our thoughts AND speech.  These dynamic professionals will ensure that we receive practical tools to Replenish ourselves through our words.

 

Replenishing Our Bodies: With an emphasis on physical and mental wellness, E2M Personal Trainer Alicia Edwards of E2M Fitness will help us tap into how we can use nutrition and physical fitness to Replenish ourselves. This powerhouse will teach us everyday strategies to sustain our health, refuel our bodies, and manage the thoughts and emotions that may impact our ability to achieve our physical wellness goals.  She will even demonstrate some useful exercises for all fitness levels.  We know that Alicia will make sure we leave this session motivated to develop and keep our bodies fully Replenished!

Relinquishing Superwoman through Revolutionary Self-Care: With a focus on how to truly incorporate self care, Bettina Lee, Owner and Founder of Bleevable Prana Yoga and Wellness Studio, will provide us with permission to slow down, rest, and replenish ourselves through practical self-care.  We are confident that Bettina’s experience as a yoga and wellness expert will ensure that we redefine what self care looks like and learn to Replenish ourselves by taking off our superwoman capes!

Lunch + Vendor Marketplace

After the healing work, enjoy a buffet-style lunch and another opportunity to explore the vendor booths and exhale with your new sisters

Let's Move: Fitness Exhibition with T2 Fitness

With a focus on Replenishing our bodies after lunch, Tasha Turnbull, founder of T2Fitness, will use her exuberant energy and fitness expertise to inspire our Exhale Summit Sisterhood to embrace movement through exercise. No matter your age or fitness level, you will be motivated by Tasha’s inspiring health journey and ability to make fitness accessible, fun and empowering.

2:30PM - 4:30PM

Featured Keynote: Dr. Mariel Buque

World-renowned Trauma Psychologist, Dr. Mariel Buque will join Dr. Kristie in an authentic moderated Q &A discussion about how to break generational patterns. A brief moment to Exhale will follow, after which Dr. Mariel will guide us through some experiential exercises from her newly released book, “Break the Cycle.”  Dr. Mariel will be a powerful force in our journey to replenishment. We will not only leave empowered to be generational cycle breakers, but to walk in the healed version of ourselves!

Sister Circles

Come together in a supportive and nurturing environment to share experiences, wisdom, and support one another. You will select the Sister Circle topic that resonates most with you and join your fellow Exhale Sisters in a discussion about to “Replenish You” in practical and sustainable ways.

Recenter Wrap-Up

Let's wrap up and set our intentions for the year after being a part of such a connective experience. See you in 2025!
